02.-09.11. Medical Journey Through Time Exhibition at Magdeburg city library


In interdisciplinary teams from clinic, industry and science, we research and develop solutions and technologies for image-guided minimally invasive medicine.
Our aim are innovative, patient-friendly, high-quality and specifically required diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for diseases in oncology, neurology and cardiology. To this end, clinicians define the need and interdisciplinary teams research and develop customised solutions that are tested and integrated into patient treatment.
Our vision is to improve healthcare of today and tomorrow as a research and innovation centre for image-based medicine.

The public-private partnership is formed by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Siemens Healthineers AG and the STIMULATE Association with over 40 members from the medical technology industry and science.

Science meets Politics

Parliamentary State Secretary Dr Silke Launert from the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure visits the Research Campus STIMULATE

As part of the 7th Conference on Image-Guided Interventions (IGIC), Dr Silke Launert, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, visited the Research Campus STIMULATE. After a welcoming speech at the official opening of the conference, Dr Silke Launert presented the Executive Board of the Research Campus STIMULATE with the decorative certificate for the third funding phase, which began on 1 October 2025

Where Coding meets Healthcare

02.11. - Medical Sunday - Medical Journey through Time

On November 2, Magdeburg City Library, transPORT, and STIMULATE invite you to a “medical journey through time” – an event that combines the history and present of medical technology. From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., readings and stories from everyday medical practice in the GDR will be presented at the city library. Starting at 1 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the Temporary Object Laboratory in Building 5 of the OVGU, featuring historical and modern medical objects. More information at City Library

02.-09.11. - Exhibition - Medical Journey through Time 

Starting on November 2, 2025, you can immerse yourself in the “Medical Journey Through Time” exhibition at the Magdeburg City Library for one week. Together with 3ios, transPORT, and STIMULATE, historical and modern exhibits from the field of medical technology will be on display, establishing and explaining interesting connections between yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Admission is free during the city library's regular opening hours (Mo-Fr 10-19:00, Sa 10-13:00).

06.11. - foundersINDUSTRY

At the first foundersINDUSTRIES event on 6 November 2025 at the Haus der Wirtschaft, young founders and innovative start-ups from Saxony-Anhalt will meet with regional employers' associations. Five selected start-ups will present themselves in compact pitches (10–15 minutes). This will be followed by a direct personal exchange with the participating associations. 20.11. - STIMULATE Meet and Greet

A Get Together for students and local start-ups & companies at the Research Campus STIMULATE, which brings students together with start-ups and companies, offering insights into STIMULATE’s entrepreneurial activities, showcasing innovative visions, and highlighting opportunities for student involvement – from internships and theses to doctoral projects and career entry.
