STIMULATE auf der EMBC in Sydney
Zwischen dem 24.07. und 27.07.2023 fand die jährliche Konferenz EMBC der „Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society“ (EMBS) statt. Der Forschungscampus STIMULATE war dieses Jahr mit drei Beiträgen in Sydney (Australien) präsent. Die Doktoranden Janis Seibt, Robert Kowal und Ivan Vogt stellten dabei die Ergebnisse ihrer aktuellen Forschung dem wissenschaftlichen Publikum in Posterpräsentationen vor und konnten sich mit den interdisziplinären Besuchenden der Konferenz austauschen. Janis Seibt präsentierte ein Poster zur “Prospective Slice Selection Correction for Magnetic Resonance Imaging with nonlinear Gradients”, Robert Kowal zu “Wireless MRI Metasurface to Enhance Head Coil Performance” und Ivan Vogt zu “Low-cost drive unit for applications MRI environments”.
Neben vielen Vorträgen und Präsentationen aus allen Bereichen der Medizintechnik gab es auch dieses Jahr wieder diverse Workshops, in denen die Forschenden Inhalte über die Themen Forschungstransfer und Startup-Gründung erfahren konnten. Des Weiteren stand dieses Jahr auch das Thema Gleichberechtigung von Frauen in der Medizintechnik im Vordergrund, sodass diesem hierzu ein eigener ganztägiger Workshop parallel zur Konferenz gewidmet wurde.

STIMULATE at the EMBC in Sydney
Between 24.07. and 27.07.2023 the annual conference EMBC of the "Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society" (EMBS) took place. The Research Campus STIMULATE was present this year with three contributions in Sydney (Australia). The PhD students Janis Seibt, Robert Kowal and Ivan Vogt presented the results of their current research to the scientific audience in poster presentations and had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the interdisciplinary visitors of the conference. In addition to many lectures and presentations from all areas of medical technology, there were also various workshops in which the researchers could learn content about research transfer and start-up foundation. Furthermore, this year the focus was also on equal rights for women in medical technology, so that a separate full-day workshop was dedicated to this topic parallel to the conference.
